As the end of 2024 approaches, we would like to feature some of the amazing events that our employees had the opportunity to be a part of. From volunteering to serve food at a local homeless shelter in Glendale, to Pacific BMW’s holiday party, to our body shop’s Lucid certification and lunch, to our tamale breakfast, the holiday spirit is never dim around here!
Giving back to those in need, Ascencia volunteers:
Eleven Pacific BMW employees had the heartfelt opportunity to volunteer at Ascencia’s Guest Chef Volunteer Program. Ascencia is a nonprofit organization located in Glendale that serves to provide support to those facing homelessness. It provides a range of services and housing to move homeless individuals and families in the Los Angeles County into their own homes.
This holiday season, our employees got to serve hot meals to homeless families and adults at Ascencia’s Emergency Housing program. They crafted each plate with compassion and generosity, as Ascencia’s “Guest Chef’s” for the day.
Dalia Loera, Accounting Associate II, was one of the volunteers that attended this heartwarming event. “I really appreciated just being able to serve others and being able to give them food that they desired. Seeing them smile and coming back to thank us for our service was quite the blessing,” said Loera.
Jae Ittiphol, Payroll Coordinator, shared heartening words, “I would definitely encourage everyone to participate in this event at least once, if possible. This volunteering event takes place near our dealership, so it will not take a lot of time out of your busy schedules and will truly make an impact on those in need.”
Owner of Pacific BMW, David Ho, has been a huge supporter of local non-profit organizations such as Ascenia. He and his wife, Martha Ho, have been involved with Ascenia since 2006 when it formed. To learn more about Ascencia’s volunteer programs, click here.
Holiday Party – Pacific BMW 2024:
The year wouldn’t have been complete without our annual holiday party. In the past, we’ve hosted several parties at off-site at restaurants, arcades, bowling alleys, and much more. This year we decided to host it at the dealership.
We had exciting activities that employees were able to participate in and have the chance to obtain fun prizes. Some of the activities included: musical chairs, blind money scooping, candy jar guessing and a blind prize wall. We also had surprise guests, Christmas carolers, going into each department to spread the Christmas spirit to our employees.
As far as the food we had amazing appetizers, main courses, and desserts. For appetizers we had a large charcuterie board filled with crackers, fruit and deli meats. Our lunch was filled with delicious meats, pasta, salads and bread from Stone Fire Grill. For our drinks we had holiday mocktails and desserts cupcakes, hand pies and candy.

Body Shop Lucid Certification Lunch:
We are happy to announce that our Body Shop Center has obtained the Lucid certification. This certification program is given to select certified shops who are willing to participate in repairing Lucid vehicles.
Andrew Batenhorst, Body Shop Manager, was attracted to this program because of its “exclusivity, and Lucid having robust-position statements and a strong support system for shops and its employees.”
To celebrate this amazing announcement, we hosted a taco truck lunch-in for all employees to enjoy. As we head into the New Year, our body shop anticipates carrying 15-20 Lucids at any time.
Tamales breakfast:
On December 20, we had our final hoorah by serving our employees breakfast tamales. These tamales included a cheese option, red-sauce and green-sauce chicken from a local vendor.
Cheers to the holiday season at Pacific BMW. We’re excited to see what the new year brings.
